Service Policies

Thank you for choosing our mail-in laptop repair service. To ensure absolute transparency and a smooth experience, please review our service policies carefully before sending in your device. By shipping your device to us, you agree to these terms.

    • Evaluation: Every mail-in laptop undergoes a thorough diagnostic evaluation to isolate the root cause of the failure.

    • Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable diagnostic fee applies to all incoming devices. If you approve the subsequent repair quote, this fee will be fully credited toward your final repair bill.

    • Approval Process: Once diagnostics are complete, we will contact you via email or phone with your repair options, estimated costs, and turnaround times. We will never proceed with a paid repair without your explicit approval.

    • Repairability: While our technicians boast a high success rate, some devices may be unrepairable due to severe multilayer board degradation, severe liquid corrosion, or proprietary parts unavailability.

    • Prior Work Disclaimer: If your laptop has been previously worked on, heated, or modified by another repair shop or a DIY attempt, our success rate drops significantly. We reserve the right to decline service or apply a "prior attempt fee" to cover the extra time required to clean up previous work.

    • Corrosion Risks: Liquid damage is progressive and highly destructive. While we utilize advanced ultrasonic cleaning and micro-soldering to reverse this damage, microscopic corrosion can sometimes continue to spread under integrated circuits over time.

    • Warranty Limitation: Because of the volatile nature of liquid corrosion, our standard warranty on liquid-damaged devices applies strictly to the specific components we replaced or repaired. We cannot guarantee that unrelated components won't fail in the future due to historical liquid exposure.

    • Our core philosophy is simple: if we cannot fix the specific issue we quoted you for, you do not pay for labor.

    • Exclusions: The initial non-refundable diagnostic fee and return shipping costs are excluded from this policy. If a device proves unrepairable, you are only responsible for the diagnostic fee and the cost to ship the device back to you.

    • Customer Responsibility: Data loss can happen during complex board-level repairs. You are solely responsible for backing up all software, data, and files before shipping your device.

    • No Liability: We are not liable for any lost, corrupted, or compromised data, passwords, or software licenses during the diagnostic or repair process.

    • Data Recovery: If your laptop does not turn on and you explicitly need the data, please request our dedicated Data Recovery Service before we begin board repairs.

    • What to Send: Please send only the laptop itself. Do not include chargers (only if we requested them), power cables, original retail boxes, protective sleeves, or external mice unless specifically requested by our team for diagnostic purposes. We are not responsible for lost or misplaced accessories.

    • Inbound Shipping: You are responsible for safely packaging and shipping the device to our facility. We highly recommend using a rigid box with at least 2 inches of bubble wrap around the device. Do not use soft mailers.

    • Tracking & Insurance: We strongly advise using a trackable shipping method with adequate shipping insurance. We are not responsible for packages lost or damaged in transit to us.

    • Outbound Shipping: Return shipping charges will be calculated and added to your final invoice. Return packages will require a signature upon delivery to ensure safety.

    • Communication: We will make three distinct attempts to contact you via the email and phone number provided over a 30-day period following the completion of service or a "not repairable" notice.

    • Disposal: Devices left unpaid, unapproved, or unclaimed for more than 30 days from our initial contact date will be considered legally abandoned. Abandoned devices may be recycled, sold to recover diagnostic and storage costs, or stripped for parts at our sole discretion.

    • Coverage: Successful board-level repairs are backed by a 60-day limited warranty on the specific parts replaced and the exact labor performed.

    • Exclusions: This warranty strictly covers our repair work. It does not cover new, unrelated faults, accidental drops, physical cracking, or liquid damage occurring after the device is returned to you. Tampering with internal warranty stickers voids all coverage.
